Anna Kennedy Online – Nominations are currently open for Wear It For Autism, held by Anna Kennedy Online. You can nominate mums, dads, grandparents, children and carers, who have autism or care for someone on the spectrum.
At present Anna told Autism Daily Newscast that they are low on nominations for dads, grandparents and individuals with autism, and is urging people to nominate in these categories.
Winners will have a full makeover and will take part in a stylish fashion event including a catwalk show, in London, on October 4. Celebrity judges will select winners from six categories; mums, dads, young carers, children with autism and adults with autism. There is also a new category this year – Teachers or Teaching Assistants that go that extra mile.
Anna Kennedy told:
“The idea behind Wear It For Autism was to spoil those who usually never get a chance to treat – or even think – of themselves. Living with autism can be challenging and extremely demanding so we wanted to create a special event, that would be fun for all involved – as well as raise vital funds to campaign for the rights of those with this disability.”
Celebrity judges that have been confirmed include: Steven Smith, Jane Moore, Denise Welch, Maggie Paterson and Fiona Shepherd.
To nominate you need to email a a full length photograph and 500 words telling why your entry should be selected to lisa.robins@thevines.org.uk
Nominations close on June 15, 2015.
