Katie Hopkins on 'This Morning'
Katie Hopkins on ‘This Morning’

Update: Moments after we published this article, the Express edited and corrected their original article that reported Ms Hopkins had indeed aplogised. The link below now redirects to one entitled: “Katie Hopkins imposter tricks public into thinking foul-mouthed star has apologised”

Editor Note: Given Ms Hopkins refusal to apologise on any issue and her use of  inflammatory language, we are not sure anyone was tricked except perhaps the Express.

Today the Express (May 20) has published an article stating that Katie Hopkins has now apologised for her offensive tweets that she posted during last Thursday’s Channel 4 programme, Born Naughty?

During the Channel 4 programme that tackled the issue of autism and ADHD, she tweeted that Honey, one little girl who was diagnosed with Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) which lies on the autism spectrum, was “a complete t**t.”

Apparently, according to the Express, she has now apologised for these tweets on her Facebook page, stating:

“Ok I have come to a conclusion – I am sorry for my actions regarding autism. I have realised I have taken it too far this time. I sincerely apologise for anyone whom I offended, it was a wrong thing to say. Although I still think ADHD is a stupid ‘illness’, I admit I was too harsh tweeting, and calling that Autistic child stupid. I sincerely apologise to anyone who is upset by my actions or anyone who has autism who felt disheartened by my messages.”

But sadly this is not her.  The page has only 685 likes in contrast to her 571K followers on twitter.

Also, to clarify matters Katie Hopkins tweeted today:

“For absolute clarity. I am not on Facebook. Thank you”

So it seems that the autism community are still waiting for Katie Hopkins to apologise. We doubt if she ever will.
