Optimized-Depositphotos_15189509_originalJerry Seinfeld has backtracked from his original statement to NBC’s Brian Williams on Nightly News where he stated:

“I think, on a very drawn-out scale, I think I’m on the spectrum”.

Talking with  Access Hollywood, Seinfeld clarified to Billy Bush in a more edgy tone than his interview with Brian Williams:

“I don’t have autism, I’m not on the spectrum.  I just was watching a play about it and … I related to it on some level … that’s all I was saying.”

The autism community has been in uproar for the past two weeks, discussing whether or not it is was appropriate for Jerry Seinfeld to self diagnose himself as being on the autism spectrum.

Autism Daily Newscast covered the story here as well as the many reactions to his disclosure here.

Austin Daily Newscast will keep you up to date with any further developments.
