Isaac Raymond, 16 has been making his own fashion designs  since he was 12. Isaac has Asperger’s Syndrome. This is part 2 of our interview with him. Part 1 can be read here.

We asked Isaac where he will next be exhibiting his collection?

“My next catwalk is in Central London on January 17, 2015 at the National Autistic Society’s event. I will be show casing some BRAND NEW garments from my next collection and some of the favourites from my past collections.”

More details about this show can be found on Isaac’s website, closer to the time.

We asked  Isaac if he has a  team of people working with him and if he makes all of his own outfits.

“I make all the Garments myself but recently I have had lots of beautiful support from some fabulous people in the PR, Event Management, Models, Hair and MUA area.”

We then asked Isaac, can you tell us a little about your inspiration for the Over the Rainbow collection?

“My Over The Rainbow collection was a high fashion take on the classic characters from the film and books. I designed a garment for all the main characters such as The Witch, Dorothy, The scarecrow, The Tin lady and The Lion. I also did a dress for each colour of the rainbow, finishing with the Pot of Gold at the end of the rainbow! For this collection I also added a couple of garments/characters. I made a garment called The Alien which features in a film that was premiered at the catwalk show last February. This was my take on how Dorothy really got to Oz!”

Isaac also made a dress  to depict what the storm would have looked like if it had been  a physical person.

You can see the film of Over the Rainbow, below.

We asked Isaac about his future plans.

“I am currently working on a new collection which is much more of a High fashion (couture) feel to it. The dresses are much more dramatic, intricate, striking and strong! The collection will tell a story of innocence, strength, weakness, love, pain, peace and joy!”

We finally asked Isaac the question,  is there anything else that you would like to share with our readers? To which he replied:

“Yes…If you have a dream and a passion follow it, never give up, and work though the hard times, you will succeed in what you want in life. Just have strength and don’t listen to people that are talking negatively about you, because you are remarkable! NEVER GIVE UP!”

He then further adds:

 “I really love you all.”

We would like to thank Isaac for taking the time to chat with us.
