copyrite mysanantonio.comSan Antonio – A girl scout with autism has set about to co author a book about living her life being on the Spectrum.

Fiona Hale a member of Troop 881 communicates with other girls in the troop by drawings and gestures. A student of   Charles L. Kuentz, Jr. Elementary School in Helotes, she started the book as a project two years ago to help her classmates understand her life through her eyes.

Fiona is also an ambassador in the local vicinity and visits schools in the area to raise awareness. Co author of the book, her previous special education teacher Victoria Skills, put into words what Fiona expresses in her drawing.

The book is entitled : You are going to love me! A look at autism through the eyes of a third grade student living with autism.

Fiona plans to start a disability awareness program for her girl scout silver award project.
