New Jersey – A mother from New Jersey is alleging that her ten year old autistic son’s lunch is repeatedly thrown away by his school over unpaid cafeteria balances.

The school have previously made apologies to the family for doing the exact same thing.

In an interview with NBC 10, Amy Ross said that she thought this was akin to bullying. Jake, who has Asperger’s Syndrome attends Smithville Elementary School in Galloway Township, N.J.

A representative for the school said:

 “It’s between the parents and the cafeteria. It’s not between the child and the lunch lady. Let the kids eat their lunch.”
