Nashville, Tennessee -Young Singer Encouraging Special Needs Kids
13 Year old Savannah Grace is a young singer, actress and model hailing from Nashville who hopes to be the next super star to take on the world. She recently created her fist cover MashUp which is Katy Perry “Roar” Mashed with Sara Bareille’s “Brave”. Music and Video Produced by: Preston Leatherman and can be viewed below (From You Tube). She invited a special needs cheer-leading squad from Tennessee, the Cheerville Raptors, to join her in being a part of the video.
“I love this cheer team. When I get discouraged, I think of them. They don’t focus on what they can’t do. They focus on everything they can do.”
Savannah told The Baptist Press and adds,
“When I heard the lyrics to these songs, I thought about my cousin Jake who has special needs. I want to see him be brave. I want him to be focused on what he can do, not what he can’t.”
Ginger Moore, Savannah’s mom, agrees.
“I knew what Savannah was thinking when she first read the lyrics to these songs. We’ve always loved watching the special needs cheer team practice. They are so good! They are the picture of overcoming.”
Savannah herself was diagnosed with SPD at two years of age, but extensive and early intervention help bring the condition under control.
