Rochester Hills, Michigan – Ron Sandison has Asperger’s syndrome. Talking to the Daily Tribune, he explained that he struggled during his early years and experienced bullying at school because he was “socially awkward.”He hopes that his book will help parents as well as those individuals who are on the autism spectrum. He believes that his autism has given him the savant ability of memory. He told the Daily Tribune:
“I can quote over 10,000 scriptures, including 22 complete books of the New Testament.”
The book documents his interviews with both experts and parents within the autism community.
He interviewed Jill Marzo who is the mother of professional surfer,Edie Branning as well as the founder of the Autism Research Center at University of California, Dr. Lynn Koegel.
