WMSALAZAR Film launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds to cover post-production costs to complete a feature-length documentary Wizard Mode and to reach a wide audience with its message. Although the campaign will end on Friday October 16th, Vimeo, an online video platform, has come onboard as an official partner and will match contributions when the campaign reaches 300 contributors and $20,000.

Since launching the campaign, Wizard Mode has been supported by a number of amazing organizations such as Autism Ontario, Disabilities Alliance BC, Autism Daily Newscast, Pavlov Pinball, PINBALL.EDU and many more. The story is presented by award-winning filmmaking team based in Vancouver, BC.

Wizard Mode is a documentary feature film about Robert Gagno, one of the world’s best pinball players, who also happens to be autistic. As Robert comes of age while rising up the ranks of the international pinball circuit, he strives to gain his independence and transcend the label of autism.

In August, SALAZAR released the short film, a sneak preview of the feature-length documentary of the same name. Since its release, the short film has garnered over 46,000 views on Vimeo. The short film provides a glimpse into the fun, heartwarming, rock’n’roll pinball movie that SALAZAR hopes to fully fund and finish through this campaign.

Robert is currently the fourth best player in the world – ranked number one in Canada –  and is often traveling with his parents to international tournaments frequently from his home in Burnaby, BC. The film captures Robert’s passion for pinball as he deals with the responsibilities that come with growing up.
