MockingJayFilm and television reviews by our resident autistic film critic Maymay.

When Katniss destroys the games, she goes to District 13 after District 12 is destroyed. She meets President Coin who convinces her to be the symbol of rebellion, while trying to save Peeta from the Capitol.

I really liked this movie, but was a little confused how they crashed a plane by shooting an arrow at it. Would a plane really go down if you hit it with an arrow? I liked the stuff getting blown up. I thought it was really cool that the workers in one of the districts were singing her song that she sang for Pollux. I think it followed the book but there were some things they left out or cut off. I understand they can’t put everything in the movie. If you read the books you will like the movie.

She really is a good actress and has done a great job playing Katniss Everdeen. I believe she IS Katniss. Crazy Peeta was kind of scary but Josh did a good job playing crazy man. I didn’t really like Coin, and Effie looked really weird without her pink hair and pink makeup. She’s a fun character. Haymitch is really caring in this movie. I’m just not sure whether I like Haymitch better drunk or sober. I really miss Cinna though. He was amazing and I liked him. I never liked Snow but to say that hurtful message in front of his grandaughter was a bit harsh figuring she liked Katniss. I don’t think that was cool for him to do. This is a good movie and you should go see it. I’m glad I did.
