San AndreasFilm and television reviews by our resident autistic film critic Maymay.

After the infamous San Andreas Fault finally gives, triggering a magnitude 9 earthquake in California, a search and rescue helicopter pilot (Dwayne Johnson) and his estranged wife make their way together from Los Angeles to San Francisco to save their only daughter. But their treacherous journey north is only the beginning. And when they think the worst may be over…it’s just getting started.

I love Dwayne Johnson and Alexandra Daddario but this movie was not the best. The acting wasn’t that great. Dwayne has been in both the Tooth Fairy and the Game Plan and I like him better in those movies. He wasn’t terrible though. Ioan was the worst for this movie and who would leave someone behind in an earthquake like that? Alexandra’s better role is definitely Annabeth in Percy Jackson. One of my favorite characters from that movie. I also liked Carla better in Night at the Museum too. Why would you even go to the top of a falling building during an earthquake? Won’t that just injure you more when it falls? I know your not supposed to be under one but above doesn’t sound any safer. I also know you are supposed to be under a table if one happens so you don’t hit your head from falling ceilings.
