red kite blue skyChicago Children’s Theatre and The Red Kite Project are thrilled to announce upcoming performances of the newest Red Kite Adventure: Red Kite Blue Sky. This theatrical, multi-sensory performance is designed specifically for children with autism and their families.

At Red Kite, Blue Sky, children embark on a bird watching adventure to the City in the Clouds where the Owl, Blue Jay, Hummingbird, and Hawk reveal the mysteries of Grandfather Sky.  While enjoying the multi-sensory experience from soft cloud pillows, children help the seasons change in the sky with an interactive rain dance and a maypole rainbow parade.  With the winter comes the snow, and with the snow — a snow ball fight!  When we are tuckered out, we’ll serenade the emerging stars with a lullaby and create a new constellation that will shine on forever.

Tickets and performances are extremely limited, so be sure to reserve your spots soon!  To do so, follow the appropriate link below:

Family and Individual Tickets
Class and Group Tickets

Tickets are $20, which grants entry to one child/caregiver pair. Additional observer tickets are $10 each.  Once we receive your registration, we will contact you to confirm the reservation. All registrants will receive a “Social Story” closer to the performance date, which provides an overview of the experience and can be used to help prepare children for attendance.

Each performance is limited to an audience of 10 CHILDREN, each accompanied by a parent or caregiver. We can also accommodate a limited number of observers (other parents, siblings, etc.) in each performance.

All performances are in the Choral Room of the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park. See you there!
