St Andrew’s Nottinghamshire, Mansfield, Nottingham – has been shortlisted in the autism services category in the Laing and Buisson Independent Specialist Care Awards.

The charity provides specialist mental healthcare services to the NHS and services include those to men on the autistic spectrum.

The Nottingham Post states:

‘The organisation has helped to individually-tailored care for men with autism to aid their development’.

Lisa Powell, hospital director said:

“This recognition for the team is very well deserved. We specialise in care for men with autism and learning disabilities. When they receive the right care in a purpose-designed environment, their progress can be extraordinary.”

She then adds that their aim is to help these adults to live as independently as possible.
