Autism Tennessee, USA – The Autism community in Tennessee needs help in funding the state’s first Autism Awareness license plate.
The project was formed by 4 mums, all of whom have children with autism. The State legislature passed the bill approving the creation of the plate but 1,000 copies need to be pre-sold before it can be added to the DMV line-up of plates available.
Less than 150 still need to be sold of the required 1,000 plates and the project deadline is June 21, 2014
These mothers wanted to spread autism awareness while also raising money for the organisations, Autism Tennessee, Autism Society of East Tennessee and the Autism Society of the Midsouth who will share half of the funds raised and the remainder will go for autism awareness projects.
All of these organisations provide support to families living with autism.
License plates cost $35.
