Israeli intelligence army unit benefit from using autistic soldiers

Israel – A number of operational successes on behalf of the Israeli Defense Forces or IDF has been accredited to a number of autistic soldiers who have dedicated their specialist talents to a specific intelligence unit.

Israels’ channel 10 reported the success of the Israeli satellite unit, who are responsible for analysing data from satellites orbiting around the earth, unmanned aircraft and remote sensors on February 19.

The young men of the unit are able to sit and analyse the data recovered more efficiently and for longer periods of time than neurotypical soldiers.

Mossad chief Tamir Pardo is credited with initiating the program aimed at integrating Israel’s autistic population into the country’s military apparatus.
