PETALING, JAYA- A woman whose dream was to open an autism center in a gated community in Cheras was forced to move out. The new autism center had only been open for five days.

Autism Consultancy founder Charlene Marie Samuel was forced to close her doors by the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the gated community. The therapists and clients were not allowed to enter the property.

On Monday night in a meeting with Samuel, the Autism Consultancy manager, as well as the landlord, property agent, chairman of the community and residents, they voted unanimously to stop the usage of the center.

Outraged Samuel turned to Facebook and Social Media. As of Thursday they had over 500 shares. Some of her gated community neighbors have expressed their opinion on Facebook. The posts have all been positive and encouraging.

Teachers and therapist and now some community members are beginning to see that often society does not fully understand what many children with learning disabilities have to go through.
