FocusFilm and television reviews by our resident autistic film critic Maymay.

Nicky (Will Smith), a veteran con artist, takes a novice named Jess (Margot Robbie) under his wing. While Nicky teaches Jess the tricks of the trade, the pair become romantically involved; but, when Jess gets uncomfortably close, Nicky ends their relationship. Three years later, Nicky is in Buenos Aires working a very dangerous scheme when Jess — now an accomplished femme fatale — unexpectedly shows up. Her appearance throws Nicky for a loop at a time when he cannot afford to be off his game.

Will Smith was fantastic as always. I love him and this movie was really good. He was really good at playing a con man. I never knew how easy it as for someone to con a person. No wonder so many purses, watches,or wallets go missing. My favorite part was the football game con when he conned Liyuan. That was kind of crazy and cool. I didn’t understand how she starts off as an amateur but when they give her a test she does it professionally. Nicky and Jess were my top two favorite characters and my least favorite were Ownes and Rodrigo’s character. Being a con person looks dangerous and I’m sure you are gonna end up in jail eventually. This is a movie I would probably watch again.
