FOCUS Festival for Autism, Connecticut – was a free event which took place on Saturday June 7 at Mills Pond Park in Canton.
The Festival for Autism is the largest fundraiser of the year for the FOCUS Center for Autism. Their mission is to help children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders achieve their full potential. They became a nonprofit in 2000 and have since developed the Milieu Therapy model of treatment that has now served over 600 children and families.
During the event children and adults enjoyed games such as the Hole-in-One Mini Golf as well as free pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting and art activities.
The Lego tent was also the perfect spot for children who needed a sensory break and some quiet time.
