Milwaukee, Wisconsin, US — the charity Good Friend Inc. founded 7 years ago raises autism awareness and acceptance.
The charity makes short films and their latest film and music video is called ‘We All Fit’.
The music video was premiered at Cushing Elementary in Delafield on Jan 9.
Two of the cast members, twin brothers Jackson and Nicholas Cain attend the school. Nicholas who has autism was one of the main characters in the film.
Jackson told Fox6now.com that it was exciting to be able to share the experience of being in the video with his brother.
That’s what the founders of Good Friend Inc. were hoping for when they came up with the idea of a music video.
Denise Schamens, co-founder of Good Friend Inc. is reported in the article as saying:
“It was obvious we needed some kind of lasting impression and we thought music was the best way to do that,”
Denise who is a parent of an autistic child wanted to help teach autism acceptance.
“The cool thing is now we’re not only giving everyone else, all the kids, tools, but we’re giving our kids a voice.”
Karen Cain, Jackson’s and Nicholas’ mother shared her feelings:
“In so many ways they’re different, but in so many ways, they’re also very much the same as other children with their wishes and desires and what they want in their life as well,”
