Denton, TX — SpiritHorse Therapeutic Center, a center which prides itself in providing therapy for children with disabilities in a place that offers tranquility, is in danger of losing that peace and quiet as a developer decides to move in and construct houses and roads near the center.

The non-profit center has been key to the development of children like Andrew, 5, who has autism. According to his mom,

“We were told he would never talk. It’s been amazing… basically improved his social skills –brought him out of his shell.”

Supporters of SpiritHorse, however, do not intend to go down without a fight. They recently took to the local city hall to express their concern about the impending project which threatens the place that cares for so many children with disabilities.

The city council is yet to decide on the fate of the non-profit center in the coming month.
