In a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, two rebels just might be able to restore order: Max, a man of action and of few words, and Furiosa, a woman of action who is looking to make it back to her childhood homeland. From director George Miller, originator of the post-apocalyptic genre and mastermind behind the legendary “Mad Max” franchise, comes “Mad Max: Fury Road,” a return to the world of the Road Warrior, Max Rockatansky.
Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa. They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.
This movie was really good. The action was awesome and a lot of things went BOOM!!! Max was crazy and I know he plays Bane in Batman, and he still sounded like Bane to me and they had a muzzle on him. That was a lot of action just to save the wives of Immortan Joe. My favorite characters were Nux, Toast the Knowing, Max and Furiosa. I really liked the rock band car that just followed and didn’t really do much. It was just there. Immotan Joe was weird and creepy. I wonder why he was wearing that creepy mask with the mouth on it. Furiosa and Max were good with their roles and were great at kicking butt. The wives did a lot of work for being pregnant. They were all sorts of things.
