We first reported on the tragic death of Connor Sparrowhawk back in Match this year, you can read our report here. Mr Sparrowhawk, 18 who had autism and epilepsy, drowned in the bath while staying in an NHS mental health treatment unit in Oxford. He was left unsupervised and had an epileptic seizure and drowned.
On Nov. 3 JusticeforLB launched the first draft LB Bill, a proposed Private Members Bill that has emerged out of the JusticeforLB campaign.
The campaign is named JusticeforLB as LB was Connor’s nickname, ‘Laughing Boy’. The campaign is fighting for change for disabled people.
JusticeforLB supporters visited the Department of Health to introduce the proposed Bill and met with Sarah McClinton and Frances Smethurst.
JusticeforLB is urging everyone to download the documents found on the LB Bill website and to share them far and wide as well as letting them know your thoughts.
