Father who gave dying daughter medicinal marijuana now allowed to see her -w/video

Queensland, Australia — Adam Koessler, the Australian father who risked getting himself jailed in a desperate attempt to save his dying daughter by giving her medicinal marijuana— has been finally been allowed to see her.

Koessler— whose 2-year-old daughter, Rumer Rose, is suffering from stage 4 cancer— has been arrested earlier this month but was granted bail on the condition that he would not see his dying daughter.

About 140,000 people signed a petition that calls for authorities in Australia to allow Koessler to see his sick daughter. The signed petition calls for Justice Minister Jarrod Blejie and Queensland Premier Campbell Newman to intercede, calling the court decision to ban Koessler from seeing his dying daughter ‘inhumane’. It said:

“It is inhumane and unjust to keep a parent, who acted out of love for his child [and] wanting to prolong her life, away from her during such severe illness”.

Koessler has paid his sick daughter a visit in the hospital, where reports say officers have been called, but allowed him to spend time with her.

According to Koessler, the condition of his daughter improved dramatically when he treated her with cannabis oil, and said that her condition deteriorated just as drastically when she was forced to stop the treatment.
