ACEPittsburg, PA (June 25, 2014)— The National Down Syndrome Society is an advocate for the value, acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome, and it is a cause that ACE employees in the Northeastern U.S. chose to support during ACE’s annual fundraiser.

ACE region VP presents NDSS with $34,951 donation.

“The National Down Syndrome Society is an organization that I am very passionate about,” said RVP Chris Brooks. “I can’t thank our customers and associates enough for their generosity and hard work during this fundraiser.”
The Give a Little Campaign is an in-store fundraiser that raised more than $358,000 nationally for the local chapters of AdoptAClassroom.org, American Red Cross, Back on My Feet, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Club, National Down Syndrome Society and the Stars Scholarship Fund.

Of the $358,000 raised during this fundraiser, $34,951 will go directly to the National Down Syndrome Society.

“The National Down Syndrome Society is so thankful to be included in ACE’s Give a Little Campaign,” said Jon Colman, NDSS president.  “We have really enjoyed partnering with ACE to make a difference in the community.”

The Give a Little Campaign is a part of ACE’s corporate-giving program, the ACE Community Fund. Since 2004, the ACE Community Fund has donated more than $8.5 million to charitable organizations throughout the nation and focuses on organizations that help children, support education and promote financial literacy in the communities where ACE has stores.
