Free concert for Autism

The Help Group & Music for Autism present “The Mostly Disney” ensemble an autism friendly romp through Disney’s most famous musicals and songs.

Founded in 1975, The Help Group is the largest, most innovative and comprehensive non-profit of its kind in the United States serving children with special needs related to autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, ADHD, developmental delays, abuse and emotional problems.

The Help Group’s nine specialized day schools offer pre-K through high school programs for more than 1,500 students. Its broad range of mental health and therapy services, child abuse and residential programs extends its reach to more than 6,000 children and their families each year.

With more than 950 staff members, The Help Group’s state-of-the-art schools and programs are located on seven campuses in the Los Angeles area.

The Help Group is widely regarded for its high standards of excellence, unique scope and breadth of services. Through its public awareness, professional training and parent education programs and efforts at the state and national levels, The Help Group touches the lives of children with special needs across the country and in other parts of the world.

Join in for a wonderful afternoon of of music, song and dance to classic Disney hits on Sunday, July 13 at, 1-2pm, at The Help Group Autism Center at 13164 Burbank Blvd in Sherman Oaks.

The one-hour performance, which is for children of all ages, will feature “concert time” when audience members are free to respond to music as active audience members; “conducting time”; and “percussion time” when participants are asked to play along on percussion instruments provided. Music for Autism concerts are free for those individuals with autism and their family members, but RSVPs are essential.
