Total Assessible TravelCan you believe that it is June… soon school will end for another year and families are beginning to explore family vacations. For special needs families, this comes with some trepidation; where, when, and how are the thoughts on families minds. I have been chatting with parents who need some reassurance when contemplating a vacation.

One Mom told me that her son with Autism will not fly! So, I arranged ‘sensitivity training’ at her local airport; which will start the process and one day, after many practice runs, they will fly to Europe and visit family members.

A very sweet Mom of a child, with Cerebral Palsy asked me to help plan a romantic holiday for September in celebration of their 10th Wedding Anniversary. She confided in me that her husband is reluctant to plan anything which excludes their daughter.. I don’t know about you, but I am a sucker for Romance and I just had to take a go at this!

I have arranged a vacation for their family at a favorite spot and with a favorite travel supplier. FDR Holidays is a beauty in Montego Bay, Jamaica. This is the spot to create some 100% romance and yes, with their child along…

FDR Holidays has many features that make this possible; each family will have a trained Nanny who will look after their accommodations and, most importantly, their child. Each Nanny is fully trained to assist families with barriers and allow Mom’s & Dad’s to have that romantic dinner, glass of wine as they take a stroll on the beach. I am always happy to use this supplier as they offer a year round special rate for families with a physically disabled member. They have some great promotions like; BYOG- Bring Your Own Grand-parents.. (Love this one!!)byog fdr promo
