Avon, Ohio – Kayla Brochu will be going to prom this weekend with not one but two prom dates.

Antonio and Dominic DeAngelis will be her prom dates, both have autism. Kayla Brochu is a longtime family friend. She said:

“I always had a joke that I would take them if they ever had a prom,” adding “It’s an honor.”

The DeAngelis twins attend school at Spectrum Consulting Services in Lorain and the school this year is holding a prom for the first time.

Linda Jake, their mother said:

“Their world is isolated,” she said. “They enjoy the simple things. They’re happy. We don’t know why they’re happy. Sometimes they’re sad. We don’t know why they’re sad. But they have each other and they enjoy the little things, TV, dancing, music, food.”
