Supermensch The Legend of Shep – good documentary

In his directorial debut, Mike Myers documents the astounding career of Hollywood insider, the loveable Shep Gordon, who fell into music management by chance after moving to LA straight out of college, and befriending Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix. Shep managed rock stars such as Pink Floyd, Luther Vandross, Teddy Pendergrass and Alice Cooper, and later went on to manage chefs such as Emeril Lagasse, ushering in the era of celebrity chefs on television. Stuffed with fantastic archive footage the film traces Shep’s transformation from the 1970’s hedonist to today’s practicing Buddhist yearning for a family of his own.

This was a good documentary. Shep Gordon has an amazing story and has lived a very interesting life. I wish I knew someone like Shep. He just wants a family and loves children. I want him to be happy like he makes other people happy. He started his career with rock stars and drugs. I didn’t like all the drugs. He learned how to do his job by trying and making mistakes.

I liked that he went back later to fix mistakes he had made. It showed that he is a really nice person. When he started making money he kept treating people better than he treated himself. He makes everyone around him feel important and like family. I would like to know someone like Shep Gordon. It is worth seeing this movie.
