Hello. I know how you feel. My son had been on the ABA program for quite some time and eventually he plateaued. I’ve been using an alternate therapy called RDI (developed in USA itself) for my son and children at our centre. It has been effective because we give the child less instructions and enable him to think for himself. This may sound like promotion, but it really is very effective – we have been following it for 7 years now. Also, here is an experience shared by a parent of a child who is on the program. I paid for 11 months of ABA and it benefitted neither of them, they protested against it vociferously and it there were no signs of it introducing any improvements whatsoever. I think whilst it might work for some (likely very young children) it doesn’t work for others.
