I find it amazing and inspiring that the puzzle piece logo started your journey to learn about Autism and has still resonated so strongly with you. It truly shows it is an excellent symbol for autism awareness. Thank you so much for the personal sharing.

Great article Megan! I have a nonverbal autistic granddaughter that is 3 and a half who was diagnosed about 6 months ago. I feel the puzzle piece is a perfect symbol for autism. I also believe after all the research I have done the past year and a half that my son may have autism. He is in his senior year of high school. I am so very proud of him school. He struggled in grade school we both shed a many tears because it was so very challenging for him, but he pushed through. Thank you for your article you are an inspiring young lady.

Great article, Meghan! I totally agree with you that the puzzle piece is an excellent symbol for autism. To me, it means that each autistic individual is unique from one to the next, just as are puzzle pieces, and they all come together to create humanity. I always enjoy listening to what you have to say!
