HelmsBriscoe will be raising funds for an extension to its work experience programme called HB Cares. They have partnered with the industry charity Meetings Industry Meeting Needs and the MPI Foundation.

The article on meetpie.com states that more than £15K was raised last year. This provided job placements for 6 people.

Carole McKellar the event’s organiser is quoted as saying:

“We partnered with the National Autistic Society in London, and they provided each individual and the employers with training before they went into the placements and support while they were in placements, and now they’re working on applying for jobs. We have success stories from the hotels saying this really opened their eyes.”

The event takes place at Grosvenor House on Jan 27 from 6-8pm. For more information contact cmckellar@helmsbriscoe.com
