FLOWER MOUND, TEXAS  –  Kristy Hundt,  formed a team last year to participate in the annual Walk For Autism which takes place in October at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas as a way to cope as well as meet other families with the same issues.

This year she held a garage sale and lemonade stand to raise money. Kristy’s  daughter, 7 year old Alexis was diagnosed with high-functioning autism and her 4 year old brother, Caden will ran the lemonade stand.  The money raised at the walk will go to the organization Autism Speaks which helps fund autism research.

In just around two weeks, the family collected an overwhelming amount of items to sell at the garage sale, $1.400.  All of these items were received by word of mouth, emails and the use of social media. Kristy said,

“several individuals have contributed, as well as Flower Mound businesses Sprouts, Market Street and Nothing Bundt Cakes.”
