Andhra Pradesh, India – The Autism Parents Hub in Andhra Pradesh, India are making attempting to bring awareness of children with autism.
Parents whose children do not speak usually wait until the child is three years of age before taking them to a specialist assuming the child has speechless disorder. The varying degrees of speech and attention deficiencies result in an inability to communicate and interact with others.
Praveen Gurramkonda, an NRI, whose elder son has autism said,
“This is mistaken for a disease. What actually these children need is total support with their overall life needs.”
“Children suffering from autism” was held yesterday at the Indian Red Cross Society Spastics Centre located at the blood bank premises on July 27 at 10 a.m.
Praveen stated that in the cases of children with this disorder a parent has to understand and help the child understand in order face the challenges that lay ahead. He also stated needy parents can visit ‘www.autismparentshub.org’ for assistance.
