Children with autism denied ABA therapy in Hawaii

Hawaii – Alston Hunt Floyd & Ing (AHFI), who is a member of  the International Society of Primerus Law Firms has joined forces with the Hawaii Disability Rights Center to file a lawsuit against the State of Hawaii Department of Human Services citing that they are denying children with autism critical treatment. The lawsuit was filed September 5.

Without Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) treatment, the Hawaii Reporter article states that children are more likely to become institutionalized and to not each their full potential in life.

They are seeking an in junction so hat the state has to provide ABA in compliance with Medicaid rules.
