Dublin, Ireland – Boyzone band member and feverent autism campaigner Keith Duffy has been honoured with the philanthropist of the year award in an award ceremony celebrating charitable sector work.

The ceremony covered by the  Irish Independent awards those who have spent time raising money and awareness across the charitable sector in Ireland.

Over the last decade, the singer and ex Coronation Street star has raised well over Four million Euro and contributed in the opening of 13 schools who apply the Applied Behaviour Analysis method over Ireland.

His daughter Mia was diagnosed with autism as just 18 months old.
