Efforts continue in the search for 14 year old Avonte Oquendo who went missing on October 4th from his school.  The family and community remain positive and no tip or idea is left unexamined. Oquendo’s grandmother Doris McCoy is convinced someone has her grandson and that he is still alive:

“Please bring him back, don’t keep him if you have him. Be good to him. Don’t abuse him. Don’t hurt him.”

The reward for Avonte’s safe return has risen to $77,500, according to CNN.

Meanwhile, New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said authorities are investigating the possibility that Avonte may have ridden a train out of the city, CBS New York reported Tuesday.
