Cassandra Kubinski continues advocating Autism acceptance

IMG_0316HiResCassandra  came to the attention of music audiences earlier this year with her  new song Not So Different. Not So Different has been heralded as an anthem of acceptance for the autism community.

The lyrics speak of accepting diversity as part of what makes the world so bright. Cassandra found the inspiration for the song from her friend’s sons who are on the spectrum. The song was originally written for an Autism Speaks event in New Jersey, but has quickly spread across the country.

Autism Daily Newscast spoke exclusively to Cassandra about the inspiration behind Not So Different and the article was featured in our Autistic Septrum Digest February Issue. A condensed version of that article can be read here.

“I think we all need help, we need “guiding lights”, and for each of us, that may show up as parents, teachers, friends, or even random strangers on the street or a bus who help us see something we needed to see, or who see the best in us and suddenly, we can recognize our own beauty.”

– Cassandra Kubinski
